Welcome to Kids Overcoming Adversity with Love and Action (KOALA)

KOALA was founded with a mission to bring hope, support, and awareness to the brave children battling pediatric cancer. Inspired by the resilience and courage of these young fighters, our organization is dedicated to making a tangible difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

Founded by Lauren Rodgers, a Junior Golfer, Miss Loudoun County’s Teen, and passionate advocate for children’s health, KOALA is committed to turning adversity into action. Lauren’s vision for KOALA is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a chance to overcome the challenges they face with love, support, and the promise of a brighter future.

Our Mission

At KOALA, our mission is to raise awareness and crucial funding for pediatric cancer research and support. We believe that by bringing communities together, we can create a powerful force for good—one that not only raises awareness but also provides the necessary resources to support children and families affected by pediatric cancer.

Our Inaugural Event

We are excited to host our inaugural Italian Dinner at the River Creek Club in Leesburg, VA, on Olympic Boulevard. This event is more than just a meal; it’s an opportunity to come together as a community to make a meaningful impact in the fight against pediatric cancer. All proceeds from this evening will go directly towards supporting pediatric cancer awareness and research.
